Hi, I'm Paul Pilgrim and I am the proud owner of The George Inn. 

I spent a lot of my childhood living in this pub and it's great to be back home. Im passionate about villages having their own local pub - a community within a community. I hope you'll support me in making The George a place where you all feel comfortable and enjoy coming to, whether on your own or with friends and family (including the 4-legged ones).  

It's a beautiful pub, with a roaring fire and welcoming staff - and customers. We have a monthly ladies night and our pool team compete in the local league. Please follow us on Facebook for the most up to date information.

Do visit soon... meet the locals; try our real ales (we are the North Essex CAMRA's most improved pub); and premium wines and spirits. Have something to eat; play a game on our pool table... but mainly, enjoy the company and being among friends.

Welcoming all ladies from Shalford and the local villages to come and join us. Taking that initial step may be hard, but you will be warmly welcomed and invited to join in. So bring a friend, come alone and make a friend - either way, you'll be glad you did.
